PWSG utilizes the expertise of an in-house CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) to provide customized financial consulting through either a fee-based or hourly arrangement. This includes a complete evaluation of a client’s financial planning objectives and preparation of a written financial plan, review of the plan, and implementation of the plan’s recommendations.
Financial plans are prepared based on specific client goals, and incorporate our 11 PILLARS OF WEALTH MANAGEMENT:
PWSG works closely with your other advisers to create a comprehensive, tax efficient plan to meet your needs. For clients who engage PWSG for Customized Financial Planning services prior to or in addition to Investment Management services, PWSG may include review and updates to the financial plan at no additional charge other than the annual investment management fee. Complex changes to a client’s existing financial plan may be billed at an hourly rate, and an estimate of the amount of time required will be provided to and agreed upon by the client in advance. PWSG also provides consulting on investment accounts at an hourly rate, for clients who desire to maintain sole responsibility for implementing the recommendations.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals can be an essential resource for dealing with all aspects of your financial security. CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements. Most importantly, CFP® professionals are held to rigorous ethical standards. They understand the changing financial climate and will make recommendations in your best interest.

The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and the Pension Protection Act of 2006 have greatly expanded the ability for small business owners to increase the efficiency of a qualified retirement plan and maximize deductible tax-deferred retirement savings. However, there is not a “one size fits all” qualified plan solution for business owners – there are many types of plans and plan combinations that can potentially be used. Expertise is required to determine what plan structure best meets the specific needs of each business owner.
PWSG has years of experience in providing our business owner clients with customized retirement plan solutions. We work with our third party administrators to design a customized retirement plan structure that meets a client’s specific needs and objectives, maximizing benefits for employees who deserve to be rewarded while complying with statutory requirements which ensure non-discrimination. We serve as the team leader for all components of this “end-to-end” solution: design consultation, plan implementation, annual administration, and investment management of plan accounts.
The process begins with a no-obligation, no-cost “Pension Feasibility Study” to determine the most appropriate retirement plan option(s), based specifically on a client’s funding goals and business structure. We also utilize the Pension Feasibility Study to evaluate a client’s current retirement plan structure, with the intention to identify alternatives that can improve efficiency.
